The University of California has approved course providers for delivery of online courses and set standards for online course development and usage by schools. UC College Prep is among a handful of organizations which the University of California has pre-approved as a course provider. This means that schools using UCCP licensed courses are using UC-approved courses which can be added to their UC Doorways list of accepted courses. The University's policies on acceptance of online courses extend to the California State University system and are regarded as the State's standard for college eligibility. UCCP encourages school administrators and educators to review the UC Online Policy in detail. UC admissions officers will only accept online courses that adhere to the policy or are approved by the high school principal as comparable to college prep curricula offered at the school site.
